This is my heartfelt cry for help. So I graduated from university in 2021 and did my NYSC immediately after school. After my service, I started applying for jobs with so much zeal, using online platforms like Indeed, Upwork, etc. At some point, I spent over N200k in a month on transport going for interviews, most of which were fake jobs. Either you have to pay before they employ you, or it’s commission-based with little to no pay at all. At some point, I gave up applying because I was already exhausting the small money I managed to save from my allowee. In 2024, I decided to learn fashion designing. I spent over N200k learning, but I never really succeeded in it because, after the training, I struggled to find customers. In 2025, I decided to use the little money I had left to start a hair business, and it’s also not moving as much as I want. In a month, I can just make about 2 or 3 sales.
And please, don’t say I’m not putting in my best because I’m putting in every effort I can in anything I do. But when there is little to no reward for the hard work, what can one do? Now I’m considering applying for jobs again because I have exhausted all my savings, and I’m in a desperate situation financially. Even if it’s remote work, I won’t mind because I’m now considering doing hookups in the meantime to pay my bills. After all, the people who put no effort into anything are the ones living lavishly. Please, if you have any legit updates, websites I can apply through, or job offers, please help me before I make a mistake with my life. Please be gentle with your words.
