There was a time I had a boyfriend who is now my ex. He happened to be my sister’s friend, and everything was fine until we were almost three years into the relationship, when he brought up a confusing issue that I couldn’t continue with. Even my sister said, “No, we can’t do this.” So I broke up with him, and my sister supported my decision. She even said she didn’t want that kind of husband for me. After we broke up, my sister stopped talking to him. But after a few months, he begged her to rekindle their friendship, and eventually, they became friends again. Honestly, I wasn’t comfortable with it at all, but I couldn’t tell her to stop being friends with my ex because I felt that wasn’t my place to decide who she should be friends with. Now, I’ve heard that my ex has travelled abroad, and apparently, my sister and her husband lent him millions of naira to make the trip possible. I was shocked and started wondering what was going on. I honestly wasn’t happy about it, but I don’t know if I’m overthinking things or if my feelings are justified. Is this normal, or am I just overthinking the situation?
