Hello Rantandtalkz, please kindly help me share my story. I need people’s advice, please. I’m a corps member serving in Osun State. I’ve been dating my boyfriend for over a year now and recently found out that I’m pregnant. The problem now is he’s insisting I get it terminated, which I told him I can’t. In fact, I’m the one always taking precautions. Anytime I’m scared, he’s always telling me, “Is pregnancy a disease?” So, as it is now, he’s been threatening me to have it terminated, that I’ll regret it if I ever think of keeping the pregnancy. But then again, I can’t even do such. I’ve been warned several times not to engage in such, and right now, I think I’ve made up my mind to keep it because my life matters to me. He has told me not to ever call or text him, which I won’t. I informed his mother and brother already. At least when my family eventually finds out and asks if any of his family is aware, I would have something to say.
I’m only scared of the financial aspect. I know it’s not going to be easy, but Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Please, do you think I’m making the right decision by keeping the pregnancy? Please, I need you people to advise me. He laughed at me and called me a single mother-to-be, but I’m not really concerned about that, even though I never thought this would happen to me, but it’s all good. If Allah SWT provides and makes everything easy, which I believe He will, bijahi rosul, then why should I be worried? Oya, ejor e advise mi tori Olohun.
