This is for my girlies, please be careful. The rate at which some Nigerian men are out to deceive and damage women is alarming. Six years ago I met this guy at a church gathering, but unfortunately we lost communication because I travelled out of my state and changed phone number. About a month ago I reconnected back with him. He explained how he has searched and prayed he sees me again. Long story short, he was honest enough to tell me he had a girlfriend of five years but claimed he wanted to end things with her because his mother didn’t approve of her religion. He bragged nonstop about money, how he “established” his girlfriend, and how he spends millions weekly. Not long after, he asked me out, I was just testing the waters, and started making disturbing demands. He insisted he loves girls that dress like “ashawo”. He wanted us to go clubbing together and insisted that I wear a very short dress with no underwear, and suggesting we have sex by the roadside after clubbing. That was my red flag. He even sent me money to get my clothes, bag and shoes, but thankfully I didn’t spend the money yet, I just kept it. A day to the day, I confronted him about our interests, it was clear he only wanted sex and “fun”. I returned his money, and he insulted me, saying I wasn’t even up to his girlfriend’s level. He insulted me just because I was wise enough not to fall for his game. I thank God I didn’t fall for his sweet words. My girlies, please stay sharp. Some of these men are not safe at all.
