Am 22 years old, and based in Edo state. I started dating this guy after my ND in 2022. It was a distance relationship. At first, it was all good. He was everything I wished for. He always called and took care of me, though he wasn’t sending big money then, just N5k to N10k. He was the best to me, my rant family. I just found out now my two-year relationship was filled with lies. He was cheating, and I did not even have an idea, not until last year, November. He started dating a girl, and when I went to see her, I just saw the girl’s calls every day, sending more than 5 messages in 1 minute. Then, concluded without even asking questions, I told him I wanted to break up. He was scared and started confusing me. Though it was hard finding out, I couldn’t even believe it, since I found we had ups and downs, he still did not let me go.
He did a lot for me last Xmas period. It was like he realized something. I finally made up my mind to let things go and forgive. Yesterday, he left his phone, and after two years of dating, I didn’t check his phone. I don’t even know the password, but since Xmas, we were so close that I could get the password, then I checked! My brothers and sisters, the guy has been flirting with other girls, even his ex-girlfriend he told me they stopped talking in 2022. She came to see him, and more pictures and chats of him asking other girls out. Then, I also got to know about the relationship I found out in November. He took the lady out, and she became friends with all his friends and did videos with his sister. When I found out, he told me he told the girl he had a girlfriend, but she still chose to accept, and that was true.
But with pictures going out, they were getting more close. Within these years, I never had a clue. He calls me every day and night, always wanting to see me, send me money, and introduce me to his mom and dad. His mom does call me; I think she likes me. Like everything you would say a man does for his woman. But my question is how come? When and how did he get those chances to cheat? He gives me all the information with proof whenever he is going out, like now, my head dey hot. Was it because of the distance? I did not lack anything, he did not make me feel like a second option. But finding out two years in a relationship, a lot of things happened. Even when I checked the date, it was whenever I left his place that the other girl came around.
Omo, I don’t even know what to do sef, what to think. He has been trying to make it up to me since I found out about the previous situation. Since December to now, but have been in his place. He sent my mom and bro money. I could even boast of him during all this time as nothing changed his attitude towards me. But now, I was done checking his phone, and I realized that my Mr. Perfect wasn’t. I am tired. 😭😭😭😭
