I met this guy recently, and we started talking. After a few weeks, we started spending lots of time together. He never mentioned to me that he has a child or a baby mama. He always portrayed himself as a very single man with no baggage. I decided to check his phone one day and discovered that he has a three-year-old daughter living in a different state with his baby mama, which he never mentioned. I confronted him, and he said he would have said it eventually, that we had just started talking and he wanted us to get to a certain stage by knowing each other better before mentioning it. I told him I can’t be with him anymore because he deliberately omitted that part and decided not to tell me. He said he thought if he told me, I might not agree to be with him, which is true, but he should have still said something. At this point, I am considering ending things with him and ghosting him. Other things about him seem okay; it’s just this baby mama part, which might cause a lot of drama in the long run based on what I read in their chats. Apparently, sometimes when he calls to check on his daughter, she doesn’t take his calls or finds something to quarrel about. This man is talking about settling down with me and all, but I am just worried that there might be a lot of drama in the future, which I am not sure I am ready for.
