Yahoo Boys And Sugar Daddies Have Ruined My Sister’s Life

When I see women and girls talking online that young girls should stay away from older men, I used to think it was nothing until now. Older men will so much open the eyes of young girls that they no longer see things in real life. My elder sister met this older man, a politician, when she was in polytechnic. The man started spending on her. It was that same time she started dating Yahoo boys. So, that politician spent so much on my sister. I’m talking thousands. He even gave my sister amnesty into a high-rise university, and still, he was spending on her. At the same time, those Yahoo boys were spending on her too, so my sister was making money. She had hairs of millions and thousands. Fast forward to during my sister’s NYSC, the politician put her into a good company to serve and even rented her a house in Abuja. During that process, my sister met another Yahoo boy who actually started spending a lot on my sister. Note, my sister has a man on the side who is like a corporate guy. He works on salary and is into legit business.

So, when my sister met this Yahoo boy and the politician was no longer giving her money like before, she wanted to leave him. There was even a time the man came to meet my sister in the house he rented for her, and he met the Yahoo boy there, and guess what? My sister walked the politician out of the house. My sister started giving hints to my mum that she wanted to leave the politician, but my mum told her, “Let this man secure a good job for you and your siblings first, at least in a good company. Don’t part ways with this man on bad terms because he has helped us a lot.” He was the one who also put my elder brother into amnesty too. Note that we are not well-to-do. My dad is late. We are financially struggling, like struggling. He occasionally helps us with money when my mum’s business is low. But my sister was blinded by the fact that the man wasn’t giving her money like before again, while the new Yahoo boy spends well on her, showering her with gold, wigs, clothes, name it. Long story cut short, she left the politician and moved to another house.

I later heard she met another older man who now pays her rent, but I don’t know the story. So, all this was when she was 23. Now, at 25 years old, my sister has no job, no investment from those millions and thousands my sister has seen in the past years, nothing to show for it. In fact, my sister doesn’t want to work. Her only source of income is her Yahoo boyfriend and her online bag business that I’m sure isn’t even profitable. My sister said since she got to this stage now, people have been helping her. My elder sister is into the business of using what I have to get what I want. I’m 19, still in school. My elder brother is now serving, and even he too is struggling. Now, my sister’s Yahoo boyfriend hasn’t picked in a while. They are living off probably what he has tucked away. My sister wants to start a family with a Yahoo boy. This all rounds up to the politician from the beginning because he made her see money as something I can get if I give them what they want from her. From her history of dating Yahoo boys, she just wants money to come easy, no hard work, nothing.

She wants a situation where she asks and it is given to her immediately because those Yahoo boys don’t work hard for the money. That’s why they can spend it stupidly. Now, my mum wants her to get married as she is now 25. She’s intending on the Yahoo boy and not the corporate worker I mentioned before. My mum told her, “You can’t get married to a Yahoo boy,” and the boy is from a specific tribe my mum doesn’t like. All I’m saying is that at 25, my sister should be working, making way for us, the younger ones, not making a Yahoo boy your main source of income. We all work, not like we depend on her. I work as a sales rep. My younger brother works in an office, and he holds just a secondary school certificate, so why can’t my elder sister work? I’m really frustrated.
