What do girls really need in a relationship? Last year, around May 2023, I messaged this girl on Instagram. We started talking, and the following month, in June, I asked her out, to which she agreed. I am 23, while she is 21, and I spend on her quite generously. For instance, if she expresses a liking for a particular hair, I send her money to get it. Even when she wanted to learn a skill, I covered the expenses because, to me, she is my babe, and if I have the means, why shouldn’t I make her happy? Even with all the spending, I’ve never met her face to face. We’ve only chatted and called each other on video. I believe some girls label you as stingy if you don’t spend in a relationship. Personally, I take my girlfriend seriously. I have two businesses that generate good income, and I also engage in internet hustling. I own two houses, one on the island and one on the mainland.
She is based in Edo, while I am in Lagos. Fast forward to around October; I booked her a flight to Lagos, an idea she suggested. We stayed together for a couple of weeks, but after returning to Edo, she started giving me attitude, claiming to be busy with various excuses. I asked her why she changed, and she did not explain. In November, she ghosted me and later said she wanted to end the relationship. I agreed, thinking it seemed like I was forcing her. To my surprise, I found out the same week that she was already in another relationship, even with someone I know. I chose not to say anything to the guy and simply moved on with my life. My question is: Why do ladies sometimes seem to prefer guys who don’t take them seriously and end up wasting the ones who do?
