I have been an OCD patient for a long time. I always knew I had OCD, but it was just little obsessions about locking the door when going out, cleanliness, etc. Recently, I noticed that my obsessions became more serious. They began to escalate into crime-related obsessions. Whenever I see a blog post about a criminal being sentenced or convicted for a crime, I’ll hear a voice saying, “What if you commit this same crime someday?” I always have flashes of images of myself doing immoral things, and these obsessions have been making me extremely uncomfortable. I always perform compulsions, such as saying a short prayer up to 50 times a day, avoiding my female friends, avoiding sharp objects, etc. I’m tired. My biggest fear is acting on my obsessions. People think OCD is just about being obsessed with cleanliness and orderliness. No, my dear, OCD is way deeper than what you all think. OCD is very close to madness. OCD is a prison of the mind. OCD is hell.
