So I’m in a relationship of two years with my guy and he’s a calm guy but he doesn’t really have much and he doesn’t even have a job. I was supposed to go back for my HND program this year and I had saved up for it. My guy, being a supportive person, promised to assist me and said I might not even use my savings. Only for me to get admission and all. I was ready for school and he started acting nonchalant, telling me to use up my own money first. Initially I wasn’t relying on him because I’m obviously responsible for myself, but why would you promise something you know you can’t fulfil?
He’s also very bad at planning things and whenever he gets any little cash he spends it lavishly. Someone older came into my life recently and this man is ready to spend on me and stuff. But I feel bad and wouldn’t want to hurt my boyfriend because he’s not really helping knowing my situation. And I need to get my life together and start up a business so I won’t have to rely on him anymore. I just need advice on what to do because I don’t want to wait with someone who wouldn’t add anything to my life and leave someone who is ready to assist me. Besides now is the time to shape my life.
