My Girlfriend is Avoiding My Kiss

I’ve been dating my girlfriend for about two years now, and there’s something that’s been bothering me. She doesn’t like kissing at all, especially in the morning. Anytime I try to kiss her when we wake up, she avoids it. And I always take my hygiene seriously. I’ve even gone as far as waking up very early to brush, just so she’d be comfortable, but she still avoids it. After a while, I started feeling like maybe it’s not about me, but about her. It seems like she doesn’t want me to notice anything about her breath, even though it’s not really bad. I’ve tried to reassure her, but it doesn’t change anything. Another thing I find confusing is, she’s very comfortable being naked around the house, but the moment she’s in the bathroom, she becomes extremely private. If I even try to come in, she reacts strongly. It’s like she doesn’t want me to see her in certain natural situations at all.

Anytime she wants to use the toilet, she will pack at least three different sprays just to cover up smells or anything that might make her feel less “perfect.” Beyond that, she’s also very defensive in general. Whether it’s a small correction or even a gentle suggestion, like if something she’s wearing doesn’t look quite right and I try to correct it, she gets upset quickly. It feels like I can’t express anything without it turning into an issue. The confusing part is that our relationship is good in many ways. We love each other, and our intimate life is fine. But this constant need for perfection, defensiveness, and avoidance is starting to affect me. I just want to understand: is this normal? Or is this something deeper that needs to be addressed?
