Good day, Rantz family. I’ll try to keep it very short. I’m currently doing my IT programme, and the amount I’m spending on transport fare is really something else. In the last two weeks since I started, I have spent roughly N30k from Monday to Saturday. Though they said they would be paying me, my main issue is that the little Web3 side hustle I had been using to sustain myself, which really relieved them at home because I rarely called to ask for anything since I was in 300 level, has stopped working. Since late last year, with the crash of InfoFi and the revolution of reply guys, I have exhausted all my savings. At this moment, now that I have started IT, I just have to keep relying on my parents for transport fare. At this point, I can’t even buy ordinary water after working out there in the field, or else I’ll have to walk home. Some days, I won’t have transport fare at all. Let’s not even talk about other things like data subscriptions and others. The whole thing I have seen within these two weeks is something else. Is it the 8 a.m. resumption I’m always trying to meet, or the heat and noise coming from those generator plants? I doubt my potential for a 9-to-5 job, and this is just me still in school. I’m wondering what will happen after school life, honestly. Even before you collect your salary, transport fare has taken up to 80 per cent of the money. What now remains? So, please, if anyone knows any skill or update they can share, don’t hesitate to share, please. Even if I end up doing that job, a side income would definitely help to relieve my stress. Thank you.
