I met a guy on a dating app. He said he was in Ibadan from the UK. I did not visit him because I did not want a “smash and go” situation. A few weeks later, he went back to the UK, and we continued talking. He told me he is single and that Nigerian girls are gold diggers, but in almost three months, he has never checked on my well-being or asked if I needed anything, even after knowing I was downsized at my former workplace. Since then, I have gotten a good job, and my business is even starting to grow, so it is not like I depend on anyone. I am a pretty girl with my own things going on, I am not trying to use anybody. I like him because he is intelligent and outspoken, but it feels like I am the one putting in all the effort. I have been faithful, not even giving other guys a chance, and we have not even met properly. I am usually the one reaching out, and he keeps reminding me how busy he is. He actually told me earlier that his work is demanding, and I said I understood, but I love him. Do you think I am pushing too much, or is he just not into me? I genuinely just want a good man.
