At this point, I’m honestly not sure if there are good women out there anymore. I started dating this girl about three months ago. Sometimes she stays at my place for a few days, sometimes for weeks. Recently, I’ve noticed she doesn’t really do anything around the house. I understand it’s my house, so I’m not expecting her to clean, I geh hand. But what about food that we both eat? Every single time she’s around, I’m the one ordering food. If she stays two weeks, that’s two full weeks of eating out. On top of that, I changed her phone just last month, and I also support her financially. I don’t hold back. But anytime I bring up the issue of her not contributing, especially with something like cooking, she immediately says I’m trying to control her or turn her into a slave. She even says we’re not married yet. That’s where I’m confused because, right now, it feels like she’s not bringing anything to the table. And before it gets twisted, I’m not talking about financial support.
My question is: is this even normal? Because it feels very one-sided. And she is boastful of it. I’m putting in effort, money, and consistency, but getting little to no support in return. And the moment you expect something reasonable, it becomes a problem. Honestly, I’m already thinking of ending things. Maybe she just needs someone who understands her better, and I need someone who’s more aligned with me. No hard feelings. Please, guys, I hope my thinking is normal? And me breaking up is valid? Because my dad used to say any character a woman shows in courtship, I will get times 10 of it after we marry.
