Quick one, guys. I’m married, and my friends always want to seize this opportunity to come to my place whenever they are in Abuja. I stay in Gwarinpa Estate, and they stay over, but it’s really not sitting well with me because I don’t want my husband to feel somehow. I decline some people, but I have a friend that I don’t decline, and she’s here always. Am I entertaining her too much? I trust her, and I trust my husband, but I’m scared. Please, what do I do? She’s always here for some reason, and I don’t want to look like a bad friend who doesn’t want to help her. But my husband might feel he’s fine about it but might not be. I’m just having a lot going on in my head right now that I don’t even know what to do. Should I create boundaries? Because my home is now beginning to look somehow to me, as every one of my friends always wants to come and spend days, even with the fact that I’m married. If I wasn’t married, that’s still understandable. Am I entertaining too much or what?
Because I don’t understand. Lastly, there’s a very close friend of mine who’s like a sister to me that I didn’t even decline, but we had a discussion about something, and when she was travelling down here, I asked if she was on her way, but she said, “How’s it my business?” That she doesn’t come to where she isn’t wanted, that I’m using style to decline her from coming here. But later on, I saw her knocking, and I was surprised sha. Besides her being my sister and the fact that we’ve both stayed together before, I’m just curious. Let’s assume I declined her coming, is it supposed to be something to be angry about? Let’s even forget about my sister, but to my friends, am I a bad person if I decline them? And that my friend, I don’t know how to tell her to stop or reduce her coming because I actually don’t know how my husband feels about her coming here all the time. He’s always mostly inside. If she’s around, he doesn’t really stay in the sitting room, which makes me feel like I’m inconveniencing him.
