Guys, I’m just 20. I have a boyfriend who I am 4 months older than. Honestly, he’s good and religious, but he’s broke and overprotective. He once linked my WhatsApp and stopped me from talking to my male friends. There was a guy who used to give me a lot of money even when I didn’t ask, but my boyfriend said I was flirting with him and stopped me from talking to him, whereas he can’t provide half of what I get from that guy, not even a quarter of what my dad gives me. I’m a daddy’s girl, and my dad provides everything I want for me, but recently I limited requesting too much from him because I feel I’m not getting younger. I even get petty money like pads from my dad. I’m the first child and only girl. Back to my boyfriend, I understand he’s a student, and he tries the little he can. He got me four items from my recent birthday wishlist, though they were the smaller things, and I appreciate it, but I think he did that because I got him gifts for his last birthday.
To cut the long story short, I’m falling out of love, probably because he’s broke, and I think I have endured enough. I’m thinking of breaking up with him. Is that a good decision? Before we started dating, he asked me how long I could stay with a guy to get rich, and I said 2 years. In the next two months, our relationship will be 2 years. We barely talk, just good morning, afternoon, and how was your day. Sometimes we don’t communicate at all for weeks. He goes months without giving me money, so I’m scared that being with him now doesn’t mean he will still continue to love me when he becomes rich. We are both virgins. He once told me we should try the backside because I refused to give my virginity, but I declined.
