I Always Hide How I Truly Feel in Relationships

I am in a relationship, but I feel alone. Not because my partner is cruel or toxic, but because I hide how I truly feel. I smile when I am tired. I say I am fine when I am not. I laugh when something hurts. I do not know how to explain that I need more than short replies and distracted conversations. I need presence. I need to feel seen. I want to feel like my emotions matter, not like I am asking for too much. Sometimes, I sit next to the person I love and still feel like I am by myself.
