My rant is about a lady who dropped a rant about how her fiancé made an insensitive statement about a friend’s wife who had a miscarriage. About 90% of the people in the comment section, mostly women, told her to leave her fiancé and run very far away from him. In her rant, the fiancé’s only flaw is his short temper, with no history of domestic v!0lence or cheating. Admittedly, the fiancé was very wrong for making such a statement. He should have acknowledged it and apologized. But it’s common to advise people to leave relationships over any slight issue. Personally, if your partner is non-v!0lent and doesn’t cheat on you, most things can be worked on over the years. The reasons I would not condone domestic v!0lence are because it could lead to death, and being with a cheat would basically put you at the risk of contracting STIs. A lot of ladies and men accept even worse attitudes offline.
But they come online to tell people to leave their relationships at any given opportunity, even when they themselves have been enduring quite a lot. My advice to the lady is to communicate with her man. If you are going to leave him because of this, then be ready to leave your future fiancé or husband at any given opportunity. Reality is very different from social media. With marriage, it’s even more difficult. You will have to learn to forgive a lot because both parties will hurt each other intentionally and unintentionally. If you want to be with your partner forever, be ready to let a lot of things slide because forever is a long time. You might never see someone who is 100% perfect in all ramifications because no one is—not even the lady that dropped the rant. Like I said, social media is different from real life. On social media, almost everyone is perfect, but in reality, it is not the same. I come in peace.
