Some men are just naturally wicked. My boyfriend of two years never gives me money for anything, not even a birthday gift. It’s been a long-distance relationship, and I travel to see him at least once every two months. My transport fare to see him costs me no less than 25,000 Naira, and he is aware of this, but he never gives me a dime, not even for transport. He complains that I don’t come to see him often. How can you expect me to keep spending my money to come see you when you are financially stable and can even afford to pay for my flight? Instead, you prefer I keep risking my life. I have a good-paying job, so I can’t depend on him. All I ask for is just some effort. Just because some of us ladies don’t ask for money doesn’t mean we are stupid. It’s been a two-year relationship with no gifts, and if I buy something for him, he keeps accepting it. I just hope this man isn’t wasting my time.
