I have a male friend with whom I’ve been friends since 2016. I cherish our friendship very much, and he does as well. We wanted to date, but we thought it might cause issues, so we decided to keep it at the friendship level. At first, it was a long-distance friendship, but after a few years, I moved to the city where he lives. We each had our own relationships (he had a girlfriend and I had a boyfriend) that we respected. However, recently, both of those relationships ended. This guy has never touched me because he knows I am a virgin and not ready for sex (though I was willing if he had tried). I spend days, sometimes weeks, at his place. We go on dinner dates, hangouts, and events—literally everything together. I don’t regularly ask him for money, but whenever I do, he always gives me some. I know everything going on in his life, including his salary and any purchases or investments he plans to make. At one point, I felt we might reconsider dating because he posts about me on his status too.
A few years back, I met a female friend during a training program, and she ended up working at the same place as my male friend. She used to see how I posted about my male friend whenever we went on dinner dates. Since they are colleagues, I didn’t involve myself in their business, but one day when I was supposed to hang out with my male friend, he said the other girl would join us if I didn’t mind. I said okay, even though I wasn’t happy about it, but fortunately, she didn’t make it to the date that day. To cut the story short, I have recently seen her status tagging my male friend in one or two posts. Everything my friend posts, she reposts immediately. This morning, she posted early morning pictures she took at my friend’s house. Is she not supposed to tell me if she’s having something with my friend? Or am I overthinking it? They’re not colleagues anymore because my male friend resigned.
