I’m a 21-year-old lady. I finished my ND last year, and I’m about to go further soon. The problem is, I have a job or business in a remote area that pays me like N70-N80k a week, and I also run a small online business. I don’t have anyone to sponsor me. Even my ND, I sponsored myself throughout. Now, I’m thinking of going to an institution closer to this area—like 30 minutes’ journey—to further my education while working at the same time because I have siblings I’m sending to school as well. Or, I could go back to the city where I did my ND. It’s a very big city, but due to my qualifications, the job I can get there can only pay me half of what I make in a week here, but in a month. However, there are opportunities or chances that my online business can boom there, unlike in this remote area that has limited opportunities.
There’s nowhere to go chill when you’re bored. I don’t have friends here, no boyfriend, nothing. I’m always indoors or at work. My friends always kick against me staying here, saying it doesn’t befit me and that I’m not exposed. They say I need to expand my horizons. Even though I’m an introvert and kind of like the quietness here, sometimes I get tired because there’s no electricity. Mind you, in both choices, I’ll have to be working and schooling at the same time, but the one in the remote area is very close to the school, while the one in the city is like 4 hours from work. It’ll affect both my schooling and work unless I take up a new job in the city, which will only pay half of what I make in a week. I’m confused, guys. Please advise me.
