I think it’s high time I send these two out of my house. My best friend and I have always been really close—like, really close. But last year, when her rent was due, she decided to move in with another person and share a 2-bedroom flat. I didn’t like it, but I let it go. Now they’re no longer living together, and somehow I’ve found myself completely left out. It’s already a duo in a trio, and I’m just there.
The three of us used to go out together, but one day they went out without even telling me. That was when I decided to step back. If I wasn’t important enough to be included, I wasn’t going to force anything. Now exams have started, and they both came to stay at my place because my house is closer to school—just a 10 to 15-minute walk, while theirs is about 45 minutes away. They’ve been here for just 5 days, using my gas to cook for just the two of them, acting like I don’t exist.
At this point, I’m done. They should go and find somewhere else to stay for their exams because I can’t keep being uncomfortable in my own house.
