There Is Still Love In Lagos, I Am A Living Testimony

I found love and it was beautiful, we’ve known each other for 2 years and we’re getting married this December. I’m 23 years old & he’s my first boyfriend (although I had slept with 3 other guys before him). I never felt ready for a relationship, I was always avoiding guys when they start talking about commitment till I met him. This man caught me off guard and I eventually realized I had fallen flat in love. Asides from his melanin-popping skin and million-dollar smile, he was so thoughtful with gifts, he puts his all into planning dates to give us both unique experiences.

He’s a great listener and he’s so supportive. I remember when he one day gave me all the passwords to his gadgets and I told him I’m not interested in all this (I was still forming Miss no-strings-attached) and he asked what I was interested in. As a correct Anambra babe, I said his bank app passwords. This man rendered all to me, he even added his ATM pin and said that’s how much he trusts me. I was shocked! That was the day I shut down all other persuaders because I realized what I meant to him.

We’re relocating to Canada next year and I really can’t wait to start forever with this angel. I just want to say true love exists ladies and chivalry is not DEAD! Do not settle for less. When a man truly loves you he’d be very intentional and go all out for you. Ignore all those telling you relationship is not for the weak, breakfast yen yen yen. Learn to open your eyes wide and look beyond looks. Energy & effort is key. Also, keep your mouth shut.

I never spoke out whenever my girls are debating that there are no loyal men out there, all men are scum blah blah blah. I just keep quiet, go back home and enjoy my loyal man in peace (before somebody will be tempted to go and tempt my superstar biko). Happy Sunday.
