I just want to know if my feelings are justified. I was in an interstate relationship. In 2023, I bought a laptop from my boyfriend and paid in full. Fast forward to 2024, I wanted to upgrade the laptop because I was having issues with the screen. I asked him to support me with whatever he could, but he said he didn’t have any money to help. Later, he visited my state and wanted to meet up. The location was far, and I couldn’t afford the Bolt fees since I was saving all my money for a new laptop. He said I should have money and should take from my savings to see him. Mind you, for his birthday, I took money out of what I was saving for a new wig to buy him a gift. I even found a vendor in his state, paid for delivery to make things convenient for him, and they delivered it to him. When it came to my birthday, he said he had bought me a gift, but I would have to go to the park to pick it up.
I just laughed. Another time, I wanted to get a new wig and asked him to support me. He promised he would, but later said he didn’t have money anymore. I ended up saving and buying the wig myself. One day, I sat down and thought about the situation, and by the next morning, I broke up with him. I just want to know if my feelings are justified. I’m a student, and sometimes my allowance runs out. When I told him once that I had no money for food that night and would go back home the next morning, he told me to “just drink garri.” Omo, I’ve really been through a lot.
