A friend from five years ago—we were just friends, but I knew he liked me. Due to distance, we couldn’t date. Recently, I broke up with my ex four months ago, and this my friend knew I became single. He asked me out, and we started dating. The guy ain’t bad—he is such a nice and good guy. But the issue here is, I am a graduate, done serving, and now I run a boutique. My business is doing very well. My now-boyfriend is actually not well-educated. He literally can’t read or write, but luckily, he got a job at Chevron refinery, and he is doing well for himself—three weeks at work and three weeks off work. His salary is okay, and he is a business-oriented person.
He always talks about wanting to give me some funds to add to my business.I’m just scared to accept it because I’m not sure about the whole thing yet. Aside from that, the age difference scares me. He is 40; I am 26. He is actually talking about marriage since he’s ready and of age. But me—I actually feel I still have little time to focus and grow my business and life. I like him though, but the fact he can’t read and write bothers me. I no even know if I should agree to marry him or just say no and focus on my business till someone else comes—maybe someone a little educated, if at all. Nah, I am confused 🥺
