My boyfriend wants us to take our relationship to the next level. Our relationship is just 8 months, and half of the time, he was abroad. While he was away, he doesn’t go without calling several times a day, and we do video calls every day, both home and at work. I’m scared because he has a child of 3 years, and his baby mama is also abroad but in a different country. Though he said I can decide if I want to stay in Nigeria or abroad after the wedding. He has businesses here in Nigeria, and he works abroad too. He shuffles between abroad and Nigeria. Please, guys, what’s the best option?
Also, he’s talking about just engagement. Should I insist on having a civil wedding or is just the engagement fine? Do you think having a civil wedding would prevent them from getting back together even if they want to in the future? I honestly want to leave him and stay out of the baby mama drama, though everything is fine now. But what if drama starts later, because his baby mama is still single, though he said she’s in a relationship? All these single guys out there are not serious, or maybe it’s the ones I met. I will be 32 in a month, and my boyfriend is 35.
