I’ve been single all my life. I’m an attractive girl and have had guys ask me out, but I wasn’t ready. I’m not the type to date for fun. This year, I talked with my close friend in the USA, who was surprised I was still single after so many years. She told me about a guy she thought I might be interested in. They’re both friends in the USA, and I trust my friend, so I agreed. We started talking, and I learned he has also been single all his life for similar reasons. We kept talking, and he told me he loves me within a month. He asked if I can wait for him for two years until he finishes university and can come over. I want a kind and loving person, which he seems to be, but everything is moving so fast. I’m yet to say yes to him, but we talk every day, and I think I’m starting to like him. He told me he’ll be patient and wait until I’m ready to reciprocate his feelings. He wants to marry me. Do you think it’s proper for us, who’ve never been in a relationship to get married? It feels unreal, but he is so nice and intentional. However, I still have trust issues.
