My husband and I have been married for four years now, with a child and currently pregnant with the second child. We’ve had our ups and downs, but we are still together and pushing. He recently moved to another city because of work and left me in Lagos because of our child’s school and for him to settle, hoping to join him soon. But he came home this Sallah, and I went through his phone, only to see he already has about three side chicks over there,
and even his friends he stays with, who sometimes talk to me on the phone, are aware. I saw messages of him proclaiming his love for a particular girl, and with the few messages I saw, I doubt she knows he is married, while the other two are just mere sexual things, as I can see. But I am not all that surprised because it’s not his first time, and anytime I confront him, he either turns it into a fight,
acts like I am intruding and checking his phone, or changes his password. It took me a while before I could get this password, so I don’t want to risk letting him know I have seen things and changing it again. It hurts, though, but I am trying my best to act the way I would act if I hadn’t seen the messages. Confronting him won’t make him stop because he would go back after Sallah, and I won’t know if he has stopped seeing them or not. I don’t know what to do.
He loves me and doesn’t joke with me, but I don’t just know why men can’t be faithful. In the past, I would have scattered everywhere, shouting and screaming, but I’m just as cold as ice this time and praying for strength to be able to keep quiet, at least to know more, and maybe after he leaves, I can tell him I know what he has been up to over there. Please, I need mature advice. Thank you.
