God bless this community of lovely people. I’m in a state of dilemma. I asked my girlfriend a question: if she trusts me, and she replied, “No, she doesn’t trust me.” I asked her why. She said she can’t trust anybody. I asked her, in her previous relationship, if she trusted her boyfriend that she wanted to marry, and she said no! She doesn’t even trust her family members, and I was shocked. We were having a discussion, and I told her the family she creates is more important than the family she comes from, and she disagreed. Her reason for disagreeing is because some spouses might not be good.
I told her a man’s duty is to protect his immediate family from his family. She said it’s not good for you to take sides, but it’s better to leave the parties to settle it however they choose. She gave me instances of how she and her sister-in-law would have conflicts, which she would report to her brother. Her brother would scold and yell at her, saying she should never try that rubb!sh reporting his wife to him. To the extent that his sister and his wife had to fight and abuse each other to resolve the issue. I’ll need the audience’s opinion about her mentality. Thank you.
