Omo, it’s been almost 3 years now I’ve been trying to leave this country. I tried before, but the agent chopped my money and did nothing. I still tried again 2 years ago, this time Canada. I applied for the school myself and got approved. Time to start the visa process, someone linked me up with this man; he has an office and all that because he’s a travel agent. After paying his fees and paying for everything, including POF, I then realized that this man was trying to run dagbo documents for me (fake). I was so angry; we went back and forth about it, plus the whole delay. Omo, I had to give up. Paid over N400k, and I didn’t even get up to N100k back. I had to pause for a while. Now I came across another company; they’re really a big organization, and I went to their office in Ikeja.
These people gave me 💯 assurance on Malta study visa; there’s nothing they didn’t tell me. I paid their fee of over N300k; they assigned me to my account officer that would attend to me. It’s been h£ll, because if you don’t reach him first, he won’t even update you on your application. I’ve complained to the organization countless times; nothing was done about it. I had to let him do his thing. Why I went for this Malta was because it was cheap and I could afford it, plus their POF too was like €8k and I had it. No need to be looking for who to put money in my account or running a fake POF. Plus, the way they put it, I’ll certqining be getting 💯 visa approval. My people, since December last year I started this process, I got accepted into the school in January, paid the tuition of over $5500.
It’s been one issue after another; it seems like they don’t know what they are doing. I kept quiet so it doesn’t look like I’m hurrying them. It took months since I got approved and paid for tuition, and they still have not started the visa application. Only for me this week to reach the account officer, and instead of the previous guy that has been attending to me since the beginning, it’s now a lady that called, talking about how there has been an issue with the embassy, blah blah blah, that they have a number of people they’re expecting in the country, whether it’s been exceeded or whatever she was saying. It’s not just Malta but all European countries, but all this was definitely not making sense to me. So she advised I forfeit my application and ask for a refund; that’s the best thing to do. Omo, I wan craze.
After all the hype and assurance these people gave me, after all my time wasted, I even wanted to write JAMB and go learn a trade if not for this travel stuff. But I was thinking there was no need since I’ll be leaving the country and might not have time to finish learning the trade. Omo, I’m just so devastated. I really need to leave this country. Nothing is working out for me. I’m 24 years old; it’s even my friend in the USA that is helping me with all this money I’m using. I’ve tried the USA, but as a Nigerian, it’s a really hard one. Plus, I heard their embassy in Nigeria has not been open for a while now. I’ve always been scared of these travel agents, but I’ve fallen for them not just twice. 😪🤦🏽♀️ I don’t even know what to do again with my life.
