I recently got out of a relationship. Everything ended so suddenly, and till now, I can’t wrap my head around it. He used to be the sweetest, kindest, the best, but then, efforts started to drop. Not like he stopped doing all he used to, but the effort just dropped. I called him out on it multiple times but never saw any change. Over time, I got tired, and it felt like I was nagging. This guy slowly turned into a nightmare, a totally different person. Suddenly, he started clubbing and smoking, using Snapchat more often than usual.
Eventually, I emotionally left the relationship before officially ending things. I’m not sad about the breakup, per se, I’m just concerned—why did he stop putting in effort? Was I overly available? Was he seeing someone else? Or did he just love bomb me? PS: I never cheated, and I never caught him cheating. I just thought to myself that I deserve way better and couldn’t handle the changes. You can’t carry me like an egg and suddenly stop!
