I’m a girl of 18 years. I’m also a student. My parents’ decisions are quite different from mine. I do struggle to do many things, even feeding myself in school and some other things. They just do give support if they have because things are hard for them. I have a boyfriend who supports me at least for transportation, feeding, and some school bills. My parents don’t want to hear I have a boyfriend. Even when my phone got spoilt to the extent I can’t repair it again, my boyfriend supported me with another phone. When I told my parents my phone got spoiled, they, didn’t say much. My dad tells me not to have a boyfriend whenever he gives me money.
Sometimes, I stay hungry for two days. My parents are Christians and hold a post in the church, but that’s their life. I also have my life to live. They saw a video of me fixing nails and were mad, saying a lot. I’m just confused now. Things are hard for me. I just get support from my boyfriend, and they don’t understand or don’t want to hear anything. What should I do now? I am in polytechnic, planning to do direct entry to university, and they are supporting me to go. But what about funding and the whole bills? I know what I face in this polytechnic. You guys should please advise me.
