Along the line, my mum told me there’s someone she wants me to get married to—a man I’ve been long betrothed to. I wasn’t aware of this. She is really serious about it. Now, I don’t know whether to follow my family’s wishes or stick to my boyfriend. Should I marry a man I don’t love just because my family wants it? Yes, he is financially stable and wants us to get married, but there’s more to life than that.
I am sure my man loves me, and everything will go well with us, but I’m scared of my family because they will definitely not support us. I thought of getting pregnant for my boyfriend, thinking that might make them give us their blessings. But he doesn’t want to get me pregnant, saying that isn’t what he wants. What should I do?
