My mum’s best social media is TikTok, and she has been following this Mohbad case through TikTok blogs. She even has up to two friends who both send and receive Mohbad gossip on WhatsApp through TikTok. Yesterday night, she called me to help her comment “Wunmi iyawo elegushi” on a blog page that is against Wunmi, and I told her I couldn’t, which she later did herself after I corrected her. Then my younger brother, who is 11 years old, told me that is how she behaves. She once commented on a blog page calling Liam “oloriburuku Omo oshi.” I was shattered. I tried correcting and changing her mindset, but she refused bluntly. Social media is really a toxic place. I honestly don’t know why wicked blogs sell the wrong narrative to gullible people like my mum.
