My boyfriend has never introduced me to any of his family members; it never looked like he had the intention to. One time, he made a joke about his ex wanting to accompany him to his nephew’s birthday, and he joked about how she didn’t know any of his family members and what her business was there. So, his dad died, and he never mentioned anything about bringing me along to the burial. I don’t want to ask him if I can come because I don’t want to put him on the spot, and would it be weird if my first time meeting his family was at a burial? Would I be wrong if I don’t attend?
