I started dating this guy who had a child not quite long ago. He told me about the child a week into the relationship, but I was cool with it as long as the mother was not single or still interested in him. I discovered later in the relationship that whenever he has a day out with his child, the baby mama has to come along too because she’s the only one who can take care of the child (2 years old). But then this act is causing a strain in our relationship. Take for instance, I wanted to spend his birthday with him, the first one since we started dating, but he said he wanted to spend time with his child. I offered to go with them, but he said it would be weird as per the mama was going to be there too. I let the matter go, and we continued the relationship. Later I found out that she’s still interested in him and is using the child as a means to come back. I want to know if I have a chance against the baby mama because I don’t have the strength for trouble. He’s not interested in her, but she’s still interested in him. PS: she sleeps over whenever the child comes for the weekend.
