Omo, I’m so pained and worried. I have a best friend who is getting married in September, and we have been doing the whole wedding planning thing together until she told me last week that she just paid N400k as part payment to book her wedding makeup artist from Lagos. The total package is N600k minus logistics. When me, her best friend, is a professional makeup artist in Delta state (same state with her)? I promise you guys I’m not capping; I’m a very good MUA and a very professional makeup artist.
If I’m not, I’ll not be getting booked by other people, and I’ll not have high-paying clients locally and internationally (like brides who live outside the country coming to their hometown for their wedding). And I’ve told her before now that I’ll do her wedding makeup for free, and she thanked me, not knowing she had another person in mind. Lol. Heaven knows I’ll not attend that wedding, even if I’ve paid for her asoebi, because I’ll be taking bookings for that day.
