I have a fiancé of 24 years, and she happened to get pregnant at 19, which made us have a proud son of 6 years. I’m doing little good as God does for me now, I have my own house and a nice ride, but my gf always cheats on me, which I always forgive because I believe nobody is perfect, and I always report her to her mother because I don’t want to let the matter get to my parents. I understand they might take the matter farther than I expect, but nothing ever changes so far. So, in 2023, I caught her cheating again, and that really messed my heart up, which made me change my approach with her. Later, my family got to know about everything, and she apologized and promised everyone she would change. Mind you, I’ve caught her with so many people before, and for over 6 years now, I’ve been providing 100% of everything for my family (her and my son). But fast forward to 2024, I see a call coming in on her phone with a stranger’s name, so I asked her who it was, but she denied knowing the person. That made me clear my mind, so I checked her phone, and it was the same guy from 2023.
I shouted at her to get out of my living room because we had just moved into our new house a few days before. She started packing her clothes and going out of the house. But before she left, I tried to hold her and talk to her, but she sl@pped me on my face. I think she wanted to provoke me so I could beat her, which I never did. I opened the door and let her go. Then I called her mother to report, and the woman said I should hold on, that she would call her. A few minutes later, her mum called me back and said she was coming back home, but I insisted that she shouldn’t come home because, if I had beaten her, I’m sure she herself would have been angry at me. The mum then hung up on me, and later the following day, her mother called my dad and told him she should have come to see him, but because we never brought yam (bride price), she couldn’t come. So, I’m confused. Is it because I never brought yam that gives her the audacity to cheat around and then talk to another man under my roof? Mind you, I’m the one providing 100% of everything for her all these years. None of her family has ever known how she’s been surviving or feeding unless they see her glowing.
