I’m 24 years old and also the first daughter in a family of seven children—five step-siblings and my younger sister. My father abandoned my sister, me, and my mother about 21 years ago, and I just got to reconcile with him this year in 2024 due to financial and accommodation issues. I also felt he had become a changed person because he kept calling to know my whereabouts for about 3 years. Now the thing is, I moved into his family house where he also stays, and he has been performing little things to make up for his mistakes. But then a conflict transpired between him and me. The reason for this fight was my blood younger sister created a WhatsApp group asking him what caused the separation between him and my mom and why he never took care of us.
The man literally told my sister that if she didn’t mind her business, her life would be cut short, and she would die young. Hearing that got me pissed, and I had to challenge him about what kind of father lays curses on his children and all that. The man told me he could strangle me to death if I also didn’t mind my business, that he would kill me, and I would die for nothing. This is coming from my own biological father. I’m scared for my life, and don’t know where to run to. Should I apologize to him or just ignore him, save up money, and leave him alone? I’m devastated.
