I’m an ordinary, low-key dude, and I started dating my girlfriend in November 2022. However, around September last year, this girl always disrespected me. She never bought me a gift, nor did she ever send me a penny out of her money while we were dating. She posted her pictures while hugging a guy on WhatsApp, and I questioned her immediately. She said he was her friend and even reported me to the guy. The guy pleaded with her on my behalf, asking her to forgive me, explaining that I don’t know how close they are.
Since then, I noticed the guy started sending her money and taking her to Fela Shrine and different lounges almost every weekend. I knew about this because I checked her status. What annoys me the most is that she always sleeps over at the guy’s house for a few days. I got tired and reached a point where I told her to reduce her closeness with the guy. However, the next thing I heard from my girlfriend was that we should break up because I talk a lot. She insulted me that day, and I even told her to sleep over at my place, but she refused. I allowed her to leave my place, only to check her status that night and realize she was with that guy at Fela Shrine.
I messaged someone close to the guy that week to confirm the relationship between my girlfriend and the guy. The guy stated there was nothing between them. However, this girl called me the same night to accuse me of messaging someone to confirm her relationship with the guy. She broke up with me that same day because of this guy. I’m not here for y’all’s advice, but I’ve learned my lesson and promised to pass the aggression on to my next relationship, as I won’t tolerate any nonsense from her, because why the fuck will a lady I spent so much on has a male bestie.
