I have two guys in my life right now. I’m currently dating one, while the other one is my ex. My present boyfriend has been there for me emotionally and financially, but recently he’s been going through some struggles of “being broke.” I told him from the beginning of the relationship that I’m not after money, but he told me yesterday that if there is any guy who is financially stable, I should go for him if the person asks me out. I was pissed with what he said. I was confused; I didn’t even know what came over me.
But I called my ex, we discussed for some time, he asked me why I broke up with him. I answered all his questions, then he asked if I’d want to continue with him again. I told him not yet, that I want some time, that he should wait, which was a big mistake I made. And he asked me if I was in a relationship, I said no, which was also a big mistake. I really, really love my boyfriend; I think I was just confused about everything.
And the fact that my present boyfriend told me that got me confused—if he really loves me or if he’s tired. Although I got to converse with him, he told me he still loves me, but he just wants what’s best for me. I really do love him, and I don’t want to lose him. He has been there for me; I can’t leave him now that he is not financially stable. Please drop your opinion or advice. Thank you.
