I just gained admission and I will be leaving Nigeria soon to school, and my boyfriend will be leaving for college in Canada also. So, there is this friend of my boyfriend that doesn’t like me. He went on telling my boyfriend’s mother about me, saying I’m a bad person. He just wants to ruin my relationship, so my boyfriend’s mother told him to stay away from me and that he should break up with me. But we kept talking. So, recently, my boyfriend came to visit me because we don’t stay together in the same state. He usually travels to come to see me. When he came recently, he told this particular friend who does not like me that he should not tell his mom that he’s out of state; that he came to visit me.
He should just tell his mom that he was too busy to come and see her himself, because his mom asked him to bring her his car since she wanted to use it. That was why he told his friend to go give his mom the car. So, moving forward, the guy later went on to tell his mom that he’s at my place. So now, his mother has asked him to block me or let him choose between me and her, and my boyfriend doesn’t know what to do because he obeys his mother and he loves me. On the other hand, I love him so much, and I don’t know if I should break up with him since I gained admission and I’m leaving Nigeria also. But this boyfriend of mine—he’s everything to me. He makes me genuinely happy whenever we are together, and he really takes good care of me.
I don’t know what to do because I really love him, and I can’t afford to lose him. And he’s the only friend I have aside from being my boyfriend. I don’t keep male friends because of him. I’m not in the dark, and there are no good guys out there anymore. 😭 Please, what should I do?
