My boyfriend called me one night to tell me his ex had been frequently texting him, so he wanted to pray about it—more like he wanted to weigh his options between myself and his ex. That went on for a while, but I knew in my heart it was over. Still, I kept on believing it would be alright. He eventually called me three days ago to tell me he was just tired of praying, tired of going back and forth, and that he wanted to just end it.
For someone that told me he had moved on from his ex since last year, my relationship is over four months old, and I know I’m not supposed to feel this bad about my breakup, but then I genuinely loved my boyfriend and wanted us to end up together. But it is what it is.
