Please, is it normal for my boyfriend to request me to call him brother and use a respectful tone for him? For example, “Brother John.” He always gets angry if I call him by his name without adding brother in front of visitors. We are both Yorubas, so he expects me to use a respectful tone to talk to him. I’m sure Yorubas here will understand what I mean by using a respectful tone, like using the “è” sound. 😂😂 It’s very funny and annoying at the same time. Please advise me on what to do. Thank you.
