My boyfriend has trust issues due to his past experience. He feels every lady will cheat, and I keep explaining that it’s a lie, but he doesn’t believe because he himself has slept with other people’s girlfriends in the past. Those girlfriends would lie to their boyfriends that they were home when they were with another guy. We had an argument yesterday, which made me realize he’s scared of loving me deeply. And yes, he isn’t romantic, but I do tell him how to be. Since we started dating, he hasn’t cheated on me, and he doesn’t even associate with the girls he used to sleep with. How I know this is that he gives me his phone, and he doesn’t hide things from me. Now, my rant is that I love him so much, and I don’t give up on love until I’ve been cheated on or I feel the relationship is toxic.
But he doesn’t do any of that; I just want him to know there are good women out there who don’t cheat because that’s his mindset about women, and that has made him not romantic. We’ve talked, and I don’t know how to show him that good women exist. But anytime we’re together, it shows that he loves me, but he’s scared. He’ll tell me I’m a fine girl and that I have a big a$$, and that guys will be all over me. It hurts that he isn’t even scared to lose me. Relationships aren’t easy. 💔
