I started dating my boyfriend 2 months ago, we were in the talking stage for 2 months before dating and so far the relationship has been going so well, he makes me so happy and I do too. Before we met he was in a 2 years relationship and he broke up with her almost 6 months ago. The ex stays close to him and they’re both in their final year in the same school. He loved her so much that he even forgave her when she cheated and got pregnant. I know he really loved the girl, he even introduced her to his mother and wanted to marry her. When he was sick 2 months ago, his mother called the ex to their house to take care of him (his mother doesn’t know me).
We hadn’t started dating yet either, they still talk once in a while, and every time I express my concern about him still talking to her he tells me there’s nothing to worry about, I can check his WhatsApp messages and read them anytime because he added my fingerprint to open his phone but I chose not to. This guy is everything I want and I love him so much and I even want to get married to him but I know he still has a soft spot for his ex. Should I just continue the relationship to wherever he leads or I should slowly detach?
