Rantandtalkz fam, you guys have been my safest place, thank you! I don’t know if you guys remember that rant when my boyfriend refused to get a Valentine’s gift for me (saying, ‘Don’t I have problems? Nah, only Val gift I go chop!’). So, after all that, we were cool. Still, on Monday, which is 2 days from Val, I went to work. I had to get permission from my boss to go do my school stuff. My boss insisted I stay only 1 hour, but I said that was not possible because getting to my destination is roughly 30 minutes! Long story short, I stayed 2 hours, and as I came back, they were just shouting at me. That same day, I was sacked! I was pained because why would someone not have a life outside work? I called my boyfriend to talk to him, but he ended the call on me. I texted, ‘Why did he end the call?’ He told me he thought I was busy.
Omo, I had no reply. Do you know this guy didn’t call me until like an hour or so after he probably saw I didn’t reply to the message? I was hurt because he was the one who was pressuring me that I should go do that school stuff! I just wanted to talk to him that I had been sacked, but he didn’t care! Till now, he still doesn’t know I have been sacked. I still didn’t pick up that call and he texted that I should take my time since I don’t wanna talk now. Would you believe that since that day, till now, he hasn’t called or texted? Val gift I no see, nothing, nothing! Do you guys think I overreacted for not picking up his call which led to us not talking till now? P.S. We’ve been dating for like 4 years, so this is not a new relationship. What do you guys think I should do in this situation because I’m tired? And God punish that boss of mine who sacked me after I took permission a week before the day!
