My boyfriend and I started dating last year August and he told me he broke up with his ex because of constant cheating and he used to forgive her until she did it so obvious, like was doing lovey-dovey on TikTok with the other guy and commenting on each other’s posts, and he ended the relationship with her. I asked him several times, “Have you healed? Have you moved on?” He said yes, nothing will ever join them together again, and I was like okay, no problem. September, I was going through his gallery. I saw screenshots of a package. I was like, “Who you wan surprise? It’s not my birthday yet.” He said his ex was graduating so he wanted to send her money bouquet and gift box to congratulate her. I was like, “For what? She is your ex now.” He now said he is sorry, he won’t send it again and I said okay. Later I found out he sent N50k to the girl. The following week I asked again. He said she needed it in school. I was already getting tired, but he said he gave me more than that, I should not worry. I said okay.
Fast forward to this year, I saw again he asked the girl for view once. I was like, “Why are you asking?” He said nothing, that the girl is desperate, that’s why. I just got angry and told him I don’t like it and he said okay, he won’t do it again. One day I was with his phone when the girl’s message came in. I clicked it, nothing was in the chat, only the girl’s new message. So I replied and told the girl to stop stalking my boyfriend, that she should please move on and be happy. Can you believe my boyfriend went ahead to beg her again that I texted and even called her mum to beg her daughter that I texted? I asked him why did he do that. He said he just wanted to protect his respect and I was like okay, no problem. Later I sha found out he invited the girl over for sex and promised to repair her phone, even gave her transport fare. When I confronted him, he said he asked me for s€x and I did not come, that’s why he called the girl, that it was just meet and fuck.
He was even laughing when saying it, like it was nothing. Now I’m confused because I caught him cheating few days to our birthday and I did not react. I still went ahead to gift him and on my own birthday, which was a day after, he did not gift me anything. I confronted him, then he returned all the gifts I got him because he did not get me a gift. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong for confronting him for not gifting me, or he is just finding a way to end the relationship because of his ex.
