My boyfriend and I have been dating for over two years now. A few months back, his ex’s mom called him to a meeting to ask what went wrong between him and her daughter (even though it’s been two years since they broke up). She said he’s the only boyfriend of her daughter that she loves and that she doesn’t like the other guys her daughter has dated since. She told him that even if they can’t date anymore, they should at least be friends, and he agreed. Recently, I noticed he added a love emoji to her name on his phone—and to one of his previous exes as well. When I confronted him, he said it was nothing and that I was overreacting. Then he walked out on me. I don’t know how to feel about this whole situation.
