Hello everyone. This story is not mine to tell, but somehow I feel connected to it. My boss cheats on his wife a lot. Whenever he goes out to do this thing, I am the one covering up for him. My boss and I are close, like he takes me as family, like a younger brother, same with his wife. They are both good to me. But now the problem is whenever my boss goes to do his thing and the wife calls, he uses me as an excuse. Some days he will say he forgot his power bank with me, that is why his phone is dead, meanwhile he is in a hotel. Sometimes he will say the police stopped me and he came to bail me out. I also understand and play along. Sometimes I am the one he sends to pick up his girlfriend and drive her to the hotel. I even go to buy condoms for my boss. But lately, I think his wife has started suspecting him.
One Sunday, I went to my boss’s house to spend Sunday with them and babysit their 2-year-old daughter because they were going for an event. Then the wife called me and asked me one question I still cannot get over. She asked that if I were her brother, or if I truly take her as big aunty the way I call her, and her husband was cheating, would I tell her. I just stood there like a stick, looking at her, and did not say anything. I respect my boss’s wife a lot because she has been nothing but very good to me, and I also cannot snitch on my boss. I just do not know what to do. I do not want to pick sides, and at the same time, I do not want to get caught in between them because one day I feel like that might happen.
